DON'T say whats on your fertile little mind.

  1. It will happen when you least expect it.
  2. If its meant to be it will be.
  3. God has a plan for you.
  4. Let go and let God.
  5. Maybe you will get pregnant now that you aren't living in sin.
  6. When you stop TRYING and relax it will happen.
  7. You can have MY child.
  8. Have you thought about adoption.
I really am working on not being so bitter. Really I am :)

Don't you just love all the well meaning people? A couple of my favorites... (and everybody has to tell you these) "Well my friend/family member adopted and as soon as they did...BAM...they were preggers." Or "they went on vacation and forgot about concieving and came back pregnant."
"Hmmmmm, that's a lovely story for someone with functioning tubes" would be my not so nice retort. Plus, if you are adopting in hopes that you will become pregnant, that's the wrong reason. My mom would always tell me to "just adopt" and I think it was her way of trying to deal with seeing me in pain. What she didn't realize was that I was not ready to adopt and if I did, I would have just felt like an infertile woman with an adopted baby.
But yes, most people just don't get it unless they have been there, done that.
So, next time someone asks you if you want THEIR child just say "No, I prefer to screw one up from scratch." Or if they ask you if you've thought about adoption, cock your head to the side, give them a blank stare and say "adoption? What is that?"
Oops...Just realized I wrote a novel...
Love you!

I just found your blog from Michelle's blog. People don't get what it's like unless they have been there! I understand not ever wishing infertility on a person, but you just wish they would keep their mouths shut if they don't know what you are going through! I hated all those stupid comments would make to me too, I tried to just shrug it off, but then would find myself at home crying my eyes out! I'm sorry to hear that you guys are struggling, but I will keep my fingers crossed that you get the money raised fast so you can get busy making that baby (or babies)! Good luck to you! I will add you to my prayer list and I look forward to hearing more about your journey!
